Swissport USA Grand Opening their new facilities at JFK Building 151. The new facility houses the station manager, administration, human resources, recruiting, IT, and training. This facility provides the support functions for Swissport Cargo Services as well as Swissport USA for JFK, LGA, EWR, and PHL.

AIRTRAIN JFK OUTSTRIPS PROJECTIONS
AirTrain JFK set a new record for paid ridership in June, with nearly 11,400 daily passengers crossing AirTrain JFK’s fare gates. The milestone was reached nearly two and a half years earlier than the Port Authority’s original timetable. June 2006 paid ridership was up 12% from June 2005, to more than 341,500 passengers. About 11% of the airport’s travelers now use AirTrain JFK as their ground transportation of choice.

Approaching the 10th anniversary of the tragic TWA 800 accident on Long Island, New York on July 16, 1996, members of the TWA family again commemorated the tragedy and thought about friends lost.
